Sorensen Family Genealogy—
Names . . . Sorensen names and where to start or end with this topic? The names these Danish natives left their home in Denmark with and the ones under which they were buried in Utah with, is very interesting to say the least. I have used here what I feel became their common, “known” names in America. The conversion of names from Danish to English, as best they could, left me hunting for years for persons I had already found. I as you, have seen family group records with them known as Nicolaisen’s, among other versions of the same names. I don't think I have ever viewed two group sheets from different parts of the family that were the same. Having acknowledged this diversity of names and spellings, please accept this humble offering as intended, a simple name listing, a place to start to connect and collect the various parts of this wonderful, far-flung family back together. If you can help or have information, no matter how new or old, please share the information with the other extended family members. I would like to thank those who have helped and supported this effort thus far.
