Sorensen Family Life in Denmark—
Velkommen! The Nicolai Sorensen family had lived in the Haverup, Fjenneslev and Petersborg area of Sorø, Denmark for many generations it would seem. This heritage is passed on to us in many ways today. If you have a favorite Danish story you would like to add, please let me know. It is interesting to view and talk about what would be many of our homes today, had not Nicolai Sorensen and family joined the LDS Church and immigrated to the Great Salt Lake Valley, Territory of Utah in the fall of 1857.

— New LDS Temple in Copehagen, Denmark —
In support of the Denmark Sesquicentennial Celebration, held in 2000, (150 years of LDS presence and Mormon emigration to Utah) a tile or paver has been purchased for both Nicoali Sorensen and his wife Magdelena Olsen Sorensen and Isaac Sorensen and his wife Mary Jacobsen Sorensen. Donations for this project were started at the Nicolai Sorensen, 200th birthday party, held June 6, 1999 in the new Pioneer Park, Mendon, Utah. Thanks to all who supported, took part, helped and or donated with each project in any way.
